VIEREN Launches “Gold Waves” Watch Inspired By Visible Sound
The independent Swiss luxury watchmaker debuts a new special edition to their Stereo Collection of automatic skeleton timepieces.

March 28, 2024 [New York, US] – Pushing the boundaries of luxury watchmaking, VIEREN releases the new Gold Waves watch: a unique, multi-dimensional addition to their Stereo Collection, bringing the glamor of the disco decade and unbridled energy of Studio 54 to 2024.
To expand further on their music-inspired collection, VIEREN creatively pulled design codes from vintage stereo systems, tape decks, and high-octane dance floors through the lens of Swiss savoir-faire, emphasizing avant-garde design capabilities by adding a 3D radial pattern to represent the resonance of sound waves.
“Gold Waves was born from our love for music. We see music as vibrational therapy – a great healer and way to connect with people – and wanted to interpret that idea on your wrist,” said award-winning fashion designer Sunny Fong and Creative Director of VIEREN. “I would get a lot of design inspiration for my collections on the dance floor, which always served as the best runway.”

The daughter of two watch entrepreneurs who met at Baselworld, a trade fair that was once the mainstay of the Swiss watch industry, Jess grew up in the world of horology and was inspired to share her passion with the new generation of watch collectors through her own modern brand. “Our architectural rectangular watches are designed for discerning style savants who appreciate thoughtful craftsmanship and subtle details.”
The one-of-a-kind Waves dial is a study in superior Swiss engineering. After the engraved mold was created, the 3D radial pattern was amplified with a 300-ton hydraulic press machine. A high-quality diamond tipped knife then meticulously cuts into the dial to achieve the polished, mirrored effect on the irregular shaped bevels. The reimagined date disc references analog volume meters from 1970s Braun audio equipment that gives it a classic yet modern vibe. Subtle skeleton cut-outs frame the jewels of the automatic watch movement as a tribute to music and horology.
Signature to every VIEREN timepiece is an ultra-thin rectangular shaped case, premium sapphire crystal, and an 18k gold rehaut ring tucked discreetly with delicate minute tracker details. These versatile watches for men and women are ideal for all wrist sizes, designed to perfectly complement any occasion.
