Spreading love in a rainbow pop-up truck around Toronto with drag royalty Sofonda Cox

VIEREN took to the streets to celebrate Pride – a rainbow moment of unexpected joy in our pop-up pride truck and Toronto’s very own drag royalty, Sofonda Cox, performing on top of her throne. With COVID-19 disrupting the usual month-long Pride festivities that take place in Toronto, we celebrated our community by honouring Pride’s origins as an uprising for equality and justice.

THeRE IS POWER IN PRIDE
Loud, flashy, and fun - the energy from the city was magical. Sofonda performed hits around downtown Toronto in a custom outfit designed by Sunny Fong. We started the day in Yorkville and made stops at the Royal Ontario Museum, Trinity Bellwoods Park, Union Station, a surprise stop at Cherry Beach, and then ended our celebrations at the 519 in the Village.
