Choose three words that best describe you?

Curious, assertive, supportive.

How do you power your time?

This area of my life is something that I am continually exploring. I'm learning that there is such strength in short bursts of intentional and uninterrupted focus. I'm reading about habit formation and paying attention to my environment so I can craft a space externally and internally that reinforces my long term intentions. One of the best tools for me to do this is to write down my Daily 3 and use my MG Method Foundations worksheets that I created to help harness my day strategically. These include ritual reminders, habit trackers, and meal planners.

How has mentorship changed your career path? Did you have a mentor?

I constantly stay a student. A beautiful aspect of technology is that we are now able to listen to information and apply it quickly. Podcasts and productions such as Masterclass have been invaluable tools for me to learn. Our process will always belong to us. Exposure can be an accelerator for growth. I haven't had one singular mentor but have always tried to gravitate toward people I respect, have similar core values and have demonstrated consistent and exceptional skill in their area of expertise.

How did your work as an actor help you to this day?

I think acting has really allowed me to harness skills that are rooted in understanding behavioural psychology and people. A cardinal rule of acting is not to judge your character and it's made me a more empathetic person because I can understand why people may do what they do even if I don't agree with it. Acting has also taught me how to communicate more effectively and express my emotions as we are encouraged to peel layers back and evaluate non verbal communication, culture, upbringing and life experience.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were starting your career?

Strategy is just as important as force. There are patterns and operating systems that allow you to work in more strategic ways instead of the idea that grinding it out is the only way to accomplish something. Keep a group of people near you that may have skills you are still learning and ask for feedback as much as possible so you can pivot when necessary. Criticism can be a tool to evolve.

“Every experience, every moment that feels like any form of a detour will lead you to where you are supposed to be so do the work and let it go.”

What are you celebrating this year?

This year I am celebrating presence. I'm celebrating consciousness and our ability to have agency and authority in our lives. I truly feel that both the collective and individual are asking new questions which ultimately help us create new experiences.

What is your favourite watch and why?

I'm drawn to the design of the Matte White . I like to lean toward pieces that feel timeless and understated. Minimal design feels calming.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I'd tell younger me to trust yourself. Taking responsibility for the blessing and obstacles will allow you to stay empowered.Start to identify yourself as a "resourceful person".This will help us know that we can always find a resolution no matter how challenging it may feel.

Sometimes we lose trust in our ability to be resilient. We have survived every moment that has led us to this one so I'd like to remind myself that we don't control the path, we do control how we show up especially when new obstacles and experiences arise. Just know everything is connected. Every experience, every moment that feels like any form of a detour will lead you to where you are supposed to be so do the work and let it go. Stay curious, and if you don't know something, utilize Google.
